Mercedes-Benz India reported its highest-ever fiscal sales of 19,363 units in FY 2025-26, while also introducing two new AMG models-the A45 S 4MATIC+ ‘Aero Track Edition’ and the GLE 53 Coupe 4MATIC+ ‘Performance Edition’ for the Indian market. The company recorded sales of 5,131 units in the January-March 2026 quarter, marking a 7 per cent year-on-year increase compared to 4,775 units in Q1 2025. The growth was supported by demand across both newly launched and existing products, along with network expansion and a continued focus on customer experience.

Sales performance during the fiscal year was driven by the Top-End Luxury segment, which grew by 16 per cent and contributed 27 per cent of total volumes. In Q1 2026, the segment recorded a 25 per cent increase, supported by demand for models such as the S-Class, the Mercedes-Maybach range, the EQS SUV, and the AMG portfolio. Waiting periods for select models, including the AMG G63 and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, currently range from 4 months to 1 year.Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) continued to gain traction within the Top-End segment, accounting for 20 per cent of its total sales in FY 2025-26. BEVs priced above Rs 1.4 crore recorded an 85 per cent year-on-year increase, driven by demand for models such as the EQS SUV, EQS Maybach SUV and the electric G-Class. The EQS SUV emerged as the highest-selling BEV in Mercedes-Benz India’s portfolio.
The company’s Core segment, which includes the C-Class, long wheelbase (LWB) E-Class, GLC and GLE, remained a key contributor to overall volumes. The LWB E-Class continued as the highest-selling luxury sedan in India, supported by demand for the E 450 variant. In contrast, the Entry Luxury segment declined by 18 per cent during FY 2025-26, amid a market shift towards lower-priced products supported by incentives. Mercedes-Benz said it continues to prioritise product content and customer aspiration over price-led volume growth.Mercedes-Benz also highlighted strong demand for its AMG and Maybach portfolio, indicating a growing preference among customers for high-performance and high-end luxury vehicles. The company said it will continue to focus on value-led growth, supported by product differentiation and customer loyalty. The automaker is set to expand its electric portfolio further with the launch of the all-new CLA EV on April 24, 2026. The model will be the first of the company’s next-generation software-defined electric vehicles and forms part of its broader electrification strategy in India.As part of its retail expansion, Mercedes-Benz India said that it plans to establish more than 20 luxury outlets in 2026, with investments of over Rs 450 crore from franchise partners. The company will enter new markets such as Visakhapatnam and Varanasi, while strengthening its presence in cities including Pune, Goa, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR. In Q1 2026, new facilities were inaugurated in Bengaluru, Bhopal and Raipur.Talking about the newly introduced Mercedes-AMG A45 S Aero Track Edition 4MATIC+ is priced at Rs 87 lakh (ex-showroom, all-India). It features an AMG Aerodynamics Package with elements such as a front splitter, rear wing, diffuser and airflow components designed to enhance stability and handling at high speeds. The model is powered by a 2.0-litre engine producing 421hp and 500Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 270 km/h. It also gets the AMG Night Package with high-gloss black exterior elements and 19-inch forged alloy wheels.The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe Performance Edition is priced at Rs 1.52 crore (ex-showroom, all-India). It comes equipped with the AMG Dynamic Plus package, including active roll stabilisation, a high-performance braking system and an AMG Performance steering wheel. The model also features AMG Track Pace, which provides real-time performance data through the MBUX system. It is powered by a 3.0-litre engine producing 435hp and 520Nm, with a 0-100kmph time of 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 250kmph. The SUV rides on 22-inch alloy wheels designed to enhance stability and driving dynamics.
