GPSC TPEO second list out: The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has published the second list of candidates eligible for application scrutiny under Advertisement No. 123/2024-25. The announcement covers recruitment for 40 Taluka Primary Education Officer (Class-2) vacancies in the state’s Education Department. The PDF released online provides roll numbers categorised by directorate for candidates progressing to the next stage.This follows the first list issued in August 2025. The recruitment process began in early 2025, and candidates now need to submit the required documents within the stipulated deadlines to proceed to the written examination. GPSC has emphasised that only online submissions will be accepted.Verification requirements for shortlisted candidatesA total of 304 candidates were initially shortlisted from the preliminary test conducted on June 8, 2025. After scrutiny, the second list calls 10 candidates for verification under the ‘Zone of Consideration’. This list is not a merit list but confirms eligibility for application verification.Candidates must upload supporting documents through the official GPSC portal. These include proof of date of birth, educational certificates, reserved category certificates (Un.S., A.S., and S.P.C.), disability certificates, military discharge documents, and other relevant qualification proofs. Specific requirements also apply for widowed, retired, and married women candidates.Submitting documents onlineGPSC has also clarified that applications sent by post or any other offline mode will not be considered. Also, it is important that the photographs and signatures are attached to the applications. In the case of certificates obtained from universities in other countries, it is important to get proof of the validity of the certificates. Also, if the candidates are claiming equivalent qualifications, it is important to get the authorisation documents.Next Steps to be Taken by the CandidatesOnce the uploading and verification of the documents are done, the next steps in the recruitment process will be taken. However, it has been made clear by the GPSC that all the candidates must follow the online procedure to ensure the applications are considered successfully.The official notice issued by the commission also makes it clear that the list of the candidates, along with the attested documents and the Aadhaar cards, will also be made available on the website of the GPSC. Thus, this is the next step in the recruitment of the Taluka Primary Education Officer, and there are concerns about the slower speed in other advertisements, comparing the efficiency of the UPSC.
