Congress organises students’ marathon in Ranchi to protest exam paper leaks

The Congress‘ youth wing held a marathon run event here on Sunday to raise awareness among people about examination paper leaks and the alleged failures of the Union government in the education sector. The marathon is part of the Congress’ ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ campaign against examination paper leaks and its demand for accountability to safeguard students’ future. It was flagged off from Bapu Vatika by party leaders, with Congress student wing NSUI‘s in-charge Kanhaiya Kumar in attendance.“The Congress, its youth wing, NSUI, and all cells are working together across 28 cities in the country. This campaign focuses on exposing the state of education, institutional mismanagement, recurring paper leaks, delayed academic sessions, lack of hostel facilities, and unemployment,” Kumar said.Through this campaign, students’ struggles and grievances are being conveyed to Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, who is committed to transforming the country’s education system, he said.Kumar further said, “We demand a proper investigation into the Union education minister’s links with paper leak mafias and his resignation; an immediate end to paper leaks with a better exam system if the NTA fails to perform; and a fixed job and academic calendar to prevent students from suffering mental depression.” The Youth Congress’ National President Uday Bhanu Chib alleged the BJP government is destroying students’ futures by leaking examination papers.“Youths deserve the rewards for their hard work. But the BJP, in its greed for money, is selling their future by leaking papers. This marathon run is meant to make the corrupt BJP government realise that their paper leak racket is no longer going to work,” he said.
