Tamil veteran Chiyaan Vikram will next be seen in the upcoming film, tentatively titled ‘Chiyaan63’. The film marks Vikram’s reunion with director Anand Shankar after their earlier collaboration, ‘Iru Mugan’. The makers have now announced the film’s title as ‘Power House’ and unveiled a 3-minute-and-36-second promo.The promo introduces Vikram as a wedding caterer who works with his family. The opening portions focus on his family life, while ‘Sarvam Maya’ actress Riya Shibu plays his quirky niece. However, things take an interesting turn when Vikram’s character moves from the family area to a storage unit.
Vikram’s character has a hidden side
The promo also teases that there is much more to Vikram’s character than his seemingly simple family life. His move into the storage unit reveals a darker and more intense side to the story. Two men, who appear to have been badly beaten and tied up, can be seen inside the storage area.The makers have kept the main plot under wraps, making the promo an intriguing introduction to the film and Vikram’s character.The promo also features a peppy soundtrack composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Actors Urvashi and VTV Ganesh are also part of the film in important roles.
‘Power House’ release date
The makers have not announced the exact release date of ‘Power House’ yet. However, the film has been confirmed for a theatrical release in 2027.
Vikram’s latest and upcoming films
Vikram was last seen in ‘Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2’, directed by S U Arun Kumar. The film also starred Dushara Vijayan, S J Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Vikram played Kaali, a former gangster who now lives a peaceful life as a provision store owner but is forced to confront his past to protect his family.Speaking of Vikram’s other projects, he had earlier announced a film with debutant director Bodi Rajkumar, which was expected to be an action thriller. However, there have been no further updates about the project. There were also reports of a possible collaboration with director Madonne Ashwin, but that project now appears to have been shelved.In addition, Vikram is also expected to work with ‘Hi’ director Vishnu Edavan on a fun family entertainer.
